Thank you for visiting the Valdosta State University Office of Financial Aid's (OFA) web site.  We are dedicated to helping students and parents obtain the financial aid necessary to pay for a college education here at Valdosta State University. This site is designed to help you in this process and hopefully answers all questions you may have regarding financial aid here at VSU. Grants, Federal Work-Study, loans, and a number of scholarships are available through our office to help pay for the educational expenses here at Valdosta State University. The Office of Financial Aid should be your first stop if you are looking for information on: aid eligibility, Stafford loans, the PELL grant, the HOPE Scholarship, or the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The Office of Financial Aid is located on the first floor of the University Center at Entrance 5.

Valdosta State University's Federal School Code is 001599. This information will be needed by students completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

06/24/2014 - The recommended deadline for applying for financial aid for Fall 2014 was June 1, 2014.  If you have not submitted a FAFSA for Fall 2014 and expect to have financial aid in place by the August 8, 2014 fee payments deadline, you should immediately submit a FAFSA.  If you were selected for verification by the processing center, you must submit all required documents by July 15th or risk being cancelled for non-payment if you financial aid is not processed by the deadline.

Financial Aid for Fall 2014

Students applying for financial aid for Fall 2014 should apply by submitting the 2014-2015 FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Applications should be submitted as early as possible once student and families have submitted their 2013 Federal Income Tax Returns, but, no later than June 1, 2014.
