Observations

We will be using the iNaturalist app to catalog all of the biodiversity observed during the BioBlitz. We are asking that participants upload their pictures and observations using the app. On the app, you will be able to see not only your observations, but all of the animals, plants, and fungi that were encountered during the 24 hour period.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, get familiar with using it by sharing some nature observations. Help and tutorials are available online: https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/getting+started

During the BioBlitz, scientists will be available to support getting data logged. In addition, we’ll look at the image recognition system used to try and identify species. We can even test the automated image recognition suggestions with our local experts on hand.
