Dear Computer Information Systems Major:

This map is a term-by-term sample course schedule. The milestones listed below each year are designed to keep you on course to graduate in four years. A sample schedule is provided as a general guideline to help you build a schedule each term. Your courses must be selected with your advisor to satisfy all core curriculum and state, lab science, and multicultural requirements. Refer to the Undergraduate Catalog for the most current curriculum.

Note below that CS 1010 is not required; however, it is a gentle introduction the first required course, CS 1301. If CS 1010 is taken, it is treated as a general elective, and does count towards 120 hours your degree requires. If you have any experience writing compuer programs, you should consider starting with CS 1301; however, please consult your advisor. If you do not take CS 1010, then you have 3 more hours of general elective credit to take in its place.
