"Scholarship Day" offers discussion and job opportunities for VSUCollege of Nursing students
"Nursing: More than a job, it's a way of life" is the theme of
the 2005 Spring Semester "Scholarship Day" set for Valdosta State
University for Friday, April 15. The location will be VSU's
University Center from 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Sponsored through VSU's College of Nursing, Scholarship Day will
include recruiters from South Georgia and North Florida hospitals
as well branches of the Armed Forces. The event is an opportunity
for all Nursing students to meet with prospective employers, obtain
scholarships, receive information on internship opportunities, and
become informed of current nursing topics and research. It is also
a great opportunity to meet faculty as well as other nursing
students.
Keynote speakers will include Inez Nichols, RN, BSN, from the South
Georgia Medical Center and Donna Thomas, RN, MSN, who works for the
Veterans Administration in the South Georgia and North Florida
area.
Registration for the day's activities starts at 7:45 a.m. For more
information please call the VSU College of Nursing at
