Valdosta State license plates available

Valdosta State University alumni and friends have the opportunity to order the State of Georgia's new specialized university license plate.

The commemorative VSU plates, available in 2004, will be produced if the State of Georgia's Department of Motor Vehicle Safety receives a minimum of 500 orders. The deadline to order is July 31, 2003.

There is a $25 manufacturing fee to purchase a tag, plus an annual $25 charge. These fees are in addition to the regular license plate fee, ad valorem tax, mailing fees or penalties that may be due.

VSU alumni, students, faculty, staff and supporters who want to purchase the special tag must fill out a special form (MV-9C) and submit the form and proper payment to their county tag agent.
