Dr. Ellis Logan
Assistant Professor of Sociology

Dr. Logan’s research interests include health and wellness issues, food systems and food security, neighborhood and place-based effects, quantitative analysis, and demography. He teaches introduction to sociology, introduction to social problems, sociological theory, social science statistics, and medical sociology.
Dr. Logan earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Richmond, his Master of Science degree in Sociology and Demography from The Pennsylvania State University, and his PhD in Sociology and Demography from The Pennsylvania State University.
His current research focus on food security issues and retail food shopping behaviors in low-income urban neighborhoods.
