Middle Grades Education
The Department of Middle, Secondary, Reading & Deaf Education offers the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Middle Grades Education. The curriculum is designed for certified teachers who seek advanced knowledge and skills for the middle grade classroom. The program is offered in a traditional format. Applicants who wish to pursue an M.Ed. in Middle Grades Math and Science in an online format, should consider the Georgia ONmyLINE M.Ed. in Middle Grades Math and Science.
M.Ed. in Middle Grades Education
Students in the M.Ed. program select two concentrations of study from the following options: language arts, mathematics, science, reading, or social studies. The M.Ed. is a 36 semester-hour curriculum which emphasizes refinement of instructional skills and the advanced candidate's development as a master teacher. This program admits each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
