Teacher Recertification

Teacher Certificate Renewal in Georgia

Effective July 1, 2017, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) permanently discontinued Professional Learning Units (PLUs) as a renewal requirement. New regulations have changed continuing education for teachers to a "job-embedded model that will take place within a professional learning community" - generally within a school or local unit of administration (LUA). For complete details about these changes, visit the links below or contact the professional development authority in your school district.
