Dine and Discover Focuses on Eldercare
VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University Campus Wellness will present Eldercare: What We All Need to Know, a Dine and Discover event from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in Student Union Meeting Room 1A and B. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.Patty White-Cosey, a licensed professional counselor, will discuss how to assist older adults in living as independently as possible, how to prepare for the role of caregiver, and how to avoid caregiver stress and burnout. White-Cosey is the co-owner of Therapy Center Valdosta and specializes in the treatment of children, child custody evaluations, marriage and family issues, mood disorders, and borderline personality disorders.
Dine and Discover is a monthly educational series sponsored by South Georgia Medical Center. VSU Campus Wellness works alongside SGMC to promote and encourage an increased awareness and practice of a healthy lifestyle.
