VSU to Host V-State Experience in Tallahassee

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University will host a V-State Experience reception at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Killearn Country Club, 100 Tyron Pass, Tallahassee, Fla.  High school students, counselors, teachers, and administrators are welcomed to attend.
Hogan also encourages students currently enrolled at another institution and considering transferring to attend the event.

“We also want to invite adults who have some college credits, but never finished their degree to participate,” said Ryan Hogan, associate director of admissions. “We will share with them a variety of flexible course options, including online degree programs and traditional classes for working adults, who have to balance job and personal responsibilities to attend college.”

Valdosta State continues to expand educational opportunities for Florida residents living near the Florida and Georgia borders, including in-state tuition rates for residents in Leon, Jefferson, Columbia, Baker, Hamilton, Madison and Nassau counties.

“By attending the V-State Experience, our goal is for guests to learn what Valdosta State University has to offer them," Hogan said. "Representatives from VSU’s academics, athletics, student life, and student support services will provide information and answer questions."

This event is open free of charge and registration is available online at http://www.valdosta.edu/admissions/undergraduate/forms/registration/tallahassee-registration.php
