Valdosta National 2012 All-media Juried Competition to be Held Jan.17 - Feb. 3
VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University’s College of the Arts will
continue its extraordinary lineup of eye-catching exhibitions this
spring, beginning with the Valdosta National 2012 All-media Juried
Competition.

VSU Fine Arts Gallery
Opening Reception: Tuesday, Jan. 17, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
This is VSU Fine Art Gallery’s 24th year hosting a national juried
exhibition, and this year’s exhibition features a wide variety of
styles and artistic approaches from 40 different artists from 19
states. Included are 4 local artists: Walter Hobbs, Annette Crosby,
Colleen Harris and former VSU art student Maggie Ellis. Out of 217
works submitted, 41 were selected by judge/juror Chazz Williams who
is an associate art professor at Albany State University. $1500 in
awards will be announced at the opening reception and awards
ceremony at 7:30 p.m.
