Arrest Made in Langdale Fires
VALDOSTA - Langdale Hall has had a series of small and easily
contained fires. Due to early detection procedures implemented by
Valdosta State University Police and Residence Hall staff, the
fires did not pose a significant threat to health, life or
property.
On Monday, Feb. 2, as a result of an investigation by the VSU
Police an arrest was made. Enhanced electronic monitoring devices
have been installed and will continue to be utilized.
President Patrick J. Schloss expressed his deep gratitude for the
efforts of the Residence Hall staff and University Police.
“I am impressed by the maturity displayed by our students and
confidence expressed in the administration by family members,”
Schloss said.
The investigation continues. No further information is available at
this time.
