Hurricane Katrina Advisory

The National Weather Service forecasts that Hurricane Katrina is targeting an area of the Gulf coast from Louisiana to Alabama with landfall likely near the New Orleans or Mobile Bay area. The storm is not an immediate threat to the Valdosta area, although there is about a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms into Monday. Valdosta State University continues to monitor the storm.
