VSU to host a week of activities to celebrate president?sinauguration
Valdosta State University will host the inauguration of
President Ronald M. Zaccari on Friday, Oct. 25, at 3 p.m., in the
Physical Education Complex. Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith, Board of
Regents of the University System of Georgia, will officially
inaugurate Zaccari as the university's seventh president.
The ceremony is part of a week of events that celebrates and
showcases the achievements and talents of the university's
students, faculty, staff and alumni.
?VSU is such a large part of this region, the inaugural committee
and Dr. Zaccari wanted the community involved in the celebration of
VSU through his inauguration,? said Stan Andrews, chair of the
Presidential Inaugural Steering Committee. ?All events during
inauguration week are free and open to everyone in the community
and surrounding area.?
Monday, Oct. 21?Gallery reception featuring the H20 Project art
exhibit and an extended exhibit showcasing works of art from
President Ronald M. Zaccari, students and alumni. The opening
reception begins at 7 p.m., in the Art Gallery located in the Fine
Arts Building. The exhibit will be on display through Nov. 8.

Tuesday, Oct. 22?Starlight Soir��e, featuring musical theater,
dance performances and jazz music, at 7:30 p.m., Fine Arts Building

Wednesday, Oct. 23?Festival on the Lawn will include games, music
and food for all ages, from 5?7 p.m., in front of West Hall.
