VSU planetarium announces final show
The Valdosta State University Planetarium will present ?Light
Pollution: A Veil Over the Heavens,? the final public show of the
2001-2002 series on Thursday, April 18 at 8 p.m. The theme of this
year's planetarium series is ?Hot Topics on Earth and in
Space.?
Dr. Kenneth Rumstay, director of the VSU Planetarium and
Observatory, will present the show. He will examine the vanishing
of our night sky, currently the greatest threat to ground-based
observational astronomy.
The planetarium is located on the third floor of Nevins Hall, room
3007. All shows are open to the public and are free of charge.
Seating is limited to 65.
