About this field

The pre-veterinary track is designed to fulfill all the course requirements needed to apply to veterinary schools in the United States. This track also includes suggested coursework to prepare students to take the GRE exam.

The Valdosta State Difference

The pre-veterinary track was prepared by faculty in the Department of Biology who exclusively advise students that intend to apply for admission into veterinary school. The principal advisor for this track has DVM degree. The track is routinely updated to meet any new admission and testing requirements for this field. The Department also assists students with recommendation letters, applications, and shadowing advice. There is also a pre-veterinary student club housed in the Department of Biology.
