VSU Planetarium Presents “Dawn of the Space Age” Feb. 21
The Valdosta State University Planetarium presents “Dawn of the Space Age” at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21. Seating for each presentation is limited to 47 guests. Free admission ticket distribution begins as early as 5:30 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis at the VSU Planetarium.

PSST Wins Seven Broadway World Tallahassee Awards
Peach State Summer Theatre’s 2024 season — “Five Guys Named Moe,” “Annie,” and “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” — has won seven Broadway World Tallahassee awards.

Britt Bugby Wins Blazer Creed Award at VSU
Britt Bugby from the Center for eLearning is the recipient of Valdosta State University’s 2024 Blazer Creed Award for Citizenship. She joined the VSU staff in February 2020. She currently serves as an instructional design project manager in the Center for eLearning and as a part-time instructor.

Nevaeh Wallace Wins Blazer Creed Award at VSU
Nevaeh Wallace of Valdosta, Georgia is the recipient of Valdosta State University’s 2024 Blazer Creed Award for Citizenship and Integrity. She anticipates earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication, emphasis in Organizational Communication, in May.

Supreme Court of Georgia Justice Verda Colvin will present “Mentorship: Lifting as We Climb” at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Valdosta State University. This event is open to the public and presented free of charge by the Copeland African American Museum.

VSU Alumna Taelynn Walton Preps for Medical School and Serving the Underserved
Taelynn Alyssia Walton, a recent Valdosta State University alumna from Gwinnett County, Georgia, dreams of becoming a doctor and dedicating her life to helping others. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Minor in Chemistry, and a Minor in Sociology during VSU’s 238th Commencement in December and is currently studying for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
