Students in the Intercultural Organizational Communication Emphasis are prepared to enter the professional world in careers that require increased knowledge and understanding of the role culture, gender, race, ethnicity, and religion play in human communication and relationships with individuals and organizations. Students develop competencies and theoretical understanding of a broad range of communication skills essential to organizations as they strive to meet their objectives. As communication specialists their responsibilities may include solving communication problems, developing corporate communication strategies, implementing communication training programs, managing the internal communication of the organization, and making professional presentations.
