Residence Hall Association
What is RHA?
Residence Hall Association is a part of the largest world-wide student ran organization. We provide programs and interhall unity throughout Valdosta State University's residential student body. RHA is a student organization dedicated to making the on-campus living experience worthwhile. We present fun social programs and educational learning programs in the residence halls. RHA is also the residential government body and the voice of the on-campus residents. When residents have issues within their residence halls, RHA fights to resolve them. Each residence hall has a Hall Council executive board comprised of four to six members (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Planning and Programming Chair, Intramural Sports Chair, and floor reps) elected by the residents. All of the Hall Councils combined make up the Residence Hall Association, which is governed by eight executive board members elected by the hall councils.
How can I get involved?
At the beginning of each Academic Year, RHA will be holding elections for the hall councils of each of the respective halls on the VSU campus. Positions that you can run for are - President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Event Coordinator. Applications for these positions will go live in August so contact your RA after move-in to discuss this opportunity.
