- Establish Transparent Transformation Process
- Establish Presidential Transition Team
- Establish Transition Subcommittees
- Engage in campus and community-wide listening tour:
- Informal breakfast, lunch and coffee meetings with faculty and staff
- Series of listening meetings with VSU academic and non-academic departments
- Meetings with community and legislative groups:
- Lowndes County Board of Commissioners, Valdosta City Council, and surrounding communities
- Major employers within county and region
- Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce
- Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority
- K-12 and two-year educational partners
- Local and regional legislative delegation
- VSU Foundation Board of Trustees
- Meetings with editorial boards and interviews with local media
- University System of Georgia Board of Regents
- Student Government Association officers
- Launch Campus and Community Conversation Series, including VSU’s 41-county service region
- Initiate a new strategic planning process
- Establish search committee for Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
- Begin the new “Discovering VSU” radio show
- Start process for Carnegie Engagement classification process

PHASE TWO: SECOND 150 DAYS
- Complete VSU's new Strategic Plan
- Launch new master planning process
- Begin a new marketing and branding study
- Establish the framework for a VSU Center for Higher Education Innovation
- Evaluate the findings of Presidential Task Forces
- Continue listening meeting throughout VSU's 41-county service region and across all university departments
