Accessibility Settings

Step 1:

Office 365 offers a "light" mode in order to be compatible with:

  • Older web browsers
  • Low bandwidth connections
  • Accessibility needs

To enable it, click on the gear icon on the top-right corner. Then, click Display Settings in the pop-up menu that appears.

Click the Gear Icon and then Display Settings

Step 2:

Click the Outlook Web App Version in the pane that appears.

Step 3:

Mark the checkbox in front of Use the Light Version of Outlook Web App. Then, click the Save button and sign out of your VSU email account. When you sign in again, the Blind and Low Vision Experience will be enabled.

Check the Box, Save and Logout

Step 4:

To disable this mode, click Options on the top-right corner.

Click Options

Step 5:

Click Outlook Web App Version in the left column.

Then, unmark the checkbox in front of Use the Light Version of Outlook Web App.

Finally, click the Save button and sign out of your VSU email account. When you sign in again, the Blind and Low Vision Experience will be disabled.

Check the Box, Save and Logout

Conversation View

Step 1:

By default, Office 365 uses a display setting called Conversation View.While in conversation view, related emails are grouped into a single entry that appears in your email list in the center window of your email account.

In order to expand a conversation to see all related emails, click the arrow displayed to the left of the subject of the email.

Step 2:

If you would prefer to disable Conversation view so that each email appears individual in your email list, click the sort order drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the center window. Please note that the text of this control will change depending on how you have your email sorted. As a result, it is best to try to locate it based on its position on the screen.

After clicking it, click Off in the Conversations section of the drop-down menu that appears.

Sorting Emails

Step 1:

Click the sort order drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the center window. Please note that the text of this control will changedepending on how you have your email sorted. As a result, it is best to try to locate it based on its position on the screen. In the Sort By section, select the order you wish to use to arrange your email.
