Alternative Employment Programs
Causal labor is twelve month position which requires a 30 day (consecutive) break. Employee may work a maximum of 40 hours per week. No benefits are associated with this classification. Laborers must pay Georgia Defined Contribution which is 7.5%; this is a retirement system for temporary, seasonal, and part-time employees of the State of Georgia who were not eligible for membership in the Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) or the Teachers Retirement System (TRS).

Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program
Federal Work-Study is available through the Financial Aid Department; and this employment program is based on established financial need. Jobs are located on and off campus and work schedules can be planned around your class schedule. Assignments are made for the entire academic year.
