Compliance

VSU’s Institutional Compliance Program was created to assure that the university meets its commitment to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies in its operations. All VSU faculty , staff and student employees hired on or before  December 31, 2015 are required to complete all components of the Annual Compliance Training. All Employees hired on or after January 1, 2016 should have completed these requirements within the first 90 days of employment and are not required to complete them again until November 2017.  

Compliance Training Access

The 2016 Annual Compliance training can be found in VSU Skillport. You can access Skillport through MyVSU portal on the VSU homepage. Or use this direct Loginhttps://valdosta.skillport.com.

Because Skillport uses VSU's single sign-on, if you are not already logged into MyVSU, you will be directed to do so in order to access Skillport. VSU Skillport can conveniently be added as a widget to your MyVSU Portal application list for quick access.

The following required topics for review under Federal law, State law, or University System of Georgia policy are located in your 2016 Annual Compliance Learning Plan in Skillport:

  • Respectful Communications, Harassment and Title IX
  • Drug Free Workplace
  • Introduction to Information Security
  • Workers Compensation
  • Motor Vehicle Policy
  • Ethical Workplace (includes USG Ethics Policy)
  • Conflict of Interest/ Outside Activities Policy
  • FMLA Leave Procedures
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

2016 Annual Compliance for Student Employees (Student Assistants, Work-Study and Graduate Assistants)

The following required topics for review under Federal law, State law, or University System of Georgia policy are located in your 2016 Annual Compliance Learning Plan in Skillport:
