Procedure for Canceling Class due to Weather or Base Operations

Occasionally classes will be canceled for various reasons such as inclement weather or base operations.

In order for students to be notified in an efficient manner we will use the following method to communicate to students:

  • The Kings Bay office will notify the faculty teaching classes impacted by the closure. Each instuctor will contact all of their students for further instructions. Students should go to to their VSU email account for more information from their instructor.
  • Coursework will be assigned by the instructor either by email or BLAZEVIEW.
  • The VSU - Kings Bay website will post our office hours.

If the Naval Submarine Base closes due to weather then VSU will also be closed.
