Registration Process

Prior to Orientation

(Recommended)

Please visit the VSU Orientation web site for a list of orientation dates.

Step 1: Log onto your BANNER account using your 870 student identification number on the VSU SIS Homepage.

Step 2: If you have not logged onto BANNER before, follow the prompting to establish a new password and security question.

Step 3: From the New Student Tab, select Orientation Tab.

Step 4: Select a major from the drop down list and click Next.

Step 5: Select a FLC from the drop down list. If you would like to refer to the Fall 2013 FLC webpage to view cohort schedules, click 
the VSU FLC link above the drop down list.

Major and Theme based

The FLC selection system in BANNER will show options based upon the major you have on record with the Office of Admissions.

Residential Based: A.F.R.O.T.C.- Students who have completed a housing application are eligible for this learning community. Selecting this learning community will change your residence hall selection to reflect that of the FLC. Honors- If you have completed a housing application and been accepted to the Honors Program, you should contact Ashley Myers by email or calling 229-333-7572 .

Day of Orientation

Major and Theme-Based: There will be three opportunities the day of orientation for you to register for a FLC. These times include at check-in, between information sessions, and during advising and registration.

Residential Based:  There will be three opportunities the day of orientation for you to register for a FLC. These times include at check-in, between information sessions, and during advising and registration

You must have an active file with Housing and Residence Life to register for one of these FLCs.

After Orientation
