VSU Camp Discovery - After School Edition

Camp Discovery After School Edition - Spring 2015

New beginning January 2015!  By request, we are offering an “after school” edition of our popular summer VSU Camp Discovery program.

Classes will be offered in 4-week blocks. New activities each session, so your child can sign up for one, two, or all three blocks without repeating projects. More classes may be added later in response to feedback, so check our website for any new additions!

For more information, or to register, contact the Office of Continuing Education by calling 229.245.6484 or email Suzanne Ewing.

Swimming Lessons

VSU Continuing Education is pleased to announce that beginning summer 2015, Swimming Lessons will be conducted through VSU Campus Recreation. In fall of 2014, they initiated year round private and semi-private lessons and will expand the program to summer with the same high quality lessons you’ve come to know and expect from VSU. All registrations and information will go through Campus Recreation. Please email Catherine Citta or call 229-333-5898 for details.

Your kids will have fun while learning in our week-long summer day camps! Camp Discovery provides opportunities for individuals age 5 and up to make friends and grow through age-appropriate enrichment activities. All camps are designed to be fun for participants, as well as to improve academic, artistic, and/or physical skills.

Camp Discovery takes place for 9 weeks each year beginning the week of Memorial Day. Most activities are held Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Some afternoon camps will be available. Weekly fees start at $85 and vary based on the cost of the activities. An afternoon “Rec Room” program, offering facilitated activities and learning experiences, is also available from 1-4 pm each afternoon for an extra charge. A supervised lunch break is available for those attending a camp in the morning and the Rec Room or another camp in the afternoon (lunch not provided).

Details will be available in April 2015
