GCSU Summer Study Abroad Program: Study Past and Present Environments of the Bahamas

Study archeology, ecology and environmental science using the unique history and environments of San Salvador Island.

The coral reefs, caves and mangrove swamps provide a unique backdrop for understanding the mechanics of ecosystems and how human impact since Columbus has altered these fragile environments. San Salvador was where Columbus first landed in 1492. Four credits in Environmental Science or Tropical Ecology or three credits in Anthropology or Interdisciplinary Studies.

Duration / Location: Approximately ten days / San Salvador Island, Bahamas.
