Career Opportunities Presents Nursing, Health Professions Career Fair April 13

VALDOSTA — The Office of Career Opportunities at Valdosta State University will present its Nursing and Health Professions Career Fair from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, in the Health Sciences and Business Administration Building.

Current students and alumni planning to attend should dress professionally, arrive early, bring several copies of their resume, and be ready to network with more than a dozen employers representing the nursing, healthcare administration, athletic training, exercise physiology, and social work career fields.

The Nursing and Health Professions Career Fair lineup features Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Barnes Healthcare in Valdosta, Behavioral Health Services of South Georgia in Valdosta, Charlie Norwood Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Greenleaf Center in Valdosta, Hospital Authority of Miller County in Colquitt, Lighthouse Nursing Agency in Perry, Mayo Clinic Health System of Waycross, Northside Hospital in Atlanta, South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, and Turning Point Care Center in Moultrie.

VSU’s Office of Career Opportunities strives to provide career development and awareness, experiential learning and/or cooperative education, and professional employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni. Its staff collaborates with the university’s employer and community partners to develop the employment potential of students and graduates and to utilize their innovative, intellectual talents. It is located in the University Center, Entrance 5.
