Student Health Center Offers Online Store

Valdosta State University’s Student Health Center now offers over-the-counter medications for students, faculty, and staff through a convenient online store.

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University’s Student Health Center now offers over-the-counter medications for students, faculty, and staff through a convenient online store.

Students, faculty, and staff can visit the online store to purchase over-the-counter medications to help minor health concerns such as coughs, colds, allergies, sore throats, cold sores, headaches, nausea, and more. Customers can order medications online and then pick their orders up at the Student Health Center Pharmacy.

Customers can pay for their orders online using a debit or credit card. They may also pay for their orders using their 1Card, but these orders must take place at the pharmacy. Customers must show identification when picking up their orders.

“Our goal is to continue to make sure our students have easy access to healthcare whether they are here on campus or in the community,” said Lynette Lewis, assistant director of the Student Health Center. “They can order over-the-counter items online from their dorm rooms, offices, or wherever they may have computer access, and then come pick up their ordered items from the pharmacy.”

The Student Health Center staff is working to transition the pharmacy into a retail pharmacy where students, faculty, and staff can have their outside prescriptions filled, based on the medications available in the pharmacy’s formulary.

Students, faculty, and staff can visit https://secure.touchnet.com/C20243_ustores/web/store_cat.jsp?STOREID=85&CATID=62&SINGLESTORE=true to view a full list of medications and products available for purchase through the online store.

The Student Health Center Pharmacy is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The pharmacy will close for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday.
