Dine and Discover Series Focuses on Concussions Jan. 18

 
VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University Campus Wellness will present Dine and Discover: Brain Health from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Student Union Meeting Room 1A and B. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
 
Dr. Scott Burkhart, licensed neuropsychologist, will discuss the assessment, treatment, and management of concussion injuries. Burkhart is the clinical director of The Concussion Center at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic in Tallahassee, Fla., and the team neuropsychologist for Florida State University Athletics.
 
Dine and Discover is a monthly educational series sponsored by South Georgia Medical Center. VSU Campus Wellness works alongside SGMC to promote and encourage an increased awareness and practice of a healthy lifestyle.
