“Walk to New You Challenge” Motivates Participants to Develop Healthy Lifestyles

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University’s Walking Club’s “Walk to a New You Challenge” encourages faculty, staff and students to walk 200 miles or more by May 4.
 
All Participants will be invited to a celebration at 4 p.m. Monday, May 5. Those reaching the goal of 200 miles or more will be entered in drawings for grand prizes for an iPad mini, CORE trips, and more. Prizes will be drawn for reaching other mile levels as well.
 
Faculty, staff, and students can participate at no charge and enroll online.
Once enrolled online, members need to turn in a release form, also found on the Walking Club website. Members will receive a free pedometer to track the miles walked.
 
The challenge is designed to motivate participants toward a healthier lifestyle. Prizes are given when members reach 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400 and 500 mile increments.
