Bonnie Brackett Selected as Regional Advisor for SAACURH

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University’s Bonnie Brackett has been selected to be the next regional advisor for the South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH).

Brackett, a complex director at VSU, was involved in SAACURH for six years as an undergraduate and graduate student and she is beginning her third year in SAACURH as an advisor. Currently she advises VSU’s National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) chapter and acts as the advisor for the Georgia Residence Hall Organization.

As of now, Brackett is the regional advisor-elect and will become the regional advisor in May 2014 at the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) conference.

“I am very honored and excited to have been granted the opportunity to fill this position,” Brackett said. “ I am ready to help SAACURH continue its legacy of being a consistently strong region and to further the region’s growth and development over the next few years.”

Brackett will serve a two-year term in which she will be working with student leaders and advisors from around the region. The SAACURH region consists of Residence Hall Associations and NRHH chapters on affiliated campuses in the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia.
