BlazeFest and the 229 Anthem Postponed Until Fall Semester

VALDOSTA -- BlazeFest and the 229 Anthem is postponed until fall semester. The event will be hosted by WVVS BlazeFm 90.9.

In the summer of 2011, music producer and former VSU student E-Rich assembled all of the hottest rappers from Valdosta and the local area (229 area code) to make a song representing local pride and awareness for Title Town's music scene. Their collaboration resulted in one of the largest productions to come out of Valdosta, and the music video for the "229 Anthem" has reached nearly 20,000 views on YouTube.

BlazeFm 90.9 wants celebrate this masterful creation with Valdosta by hosting BlazeFest and the 229 Anthem. The event will feature several local bands including Rescue Blues, Marilyn and Her Monsters, and Pigtoad.

BlazeFest is free, and the public is invited to come and see what Valdosta's music scene has to offer.

This event was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 21. However, it was rescheduled due to expected bad weather and then postponed due to a scheduling conflict.
