VSU Beats West Georgia in Annual Blood Drive Competition for theSecond Year in a Row

VALDOSTA -- VSU was victorious in its annual blood drive against West Georgia, collecting 217 productive units of blood. The philanthropic battle was held on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Student Union, and 256 members of the VSU community participated.

This is the second year in a row that VSU has beaten their West Georgia competitors. VSU’s original goal was to collect 200 units, and they surpassed that number by collecting 217 units, while West Georgia collected 157 units.

Every one blood donation can save three lives, and VSU would like to thank all of the donors, volunteers and student organizations that made this year’s blood drive a huge success.
