Sixth Annual 5K Community Fun Run/Walk
VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University will jumpstart another
school year with the 6th annual VSU Community Fun Run/Walk at 7:30
a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Hosted by VSU’s Campus Recreation and
Campus Wellness Committee, the event is designed to encourage
community building and promote healthy lifestyles.
Registration begins at 6:45 a.m. in front of West Hall on Patterson
Street, where the race will start and finish after circling around
the perimeter of main campus. Student Health Center staff and EMS
representatives will be on location to ensure participant
safety.
Age categories for participants include 30 and under, 31-50 and 50
and over. First through third place winners in male and female
categories will receive prizes. There will also be a random prize
drawing after the race.
Registration is $12 for students and $15 for all other participants
who sign up in advance. Same day registration is $20 for
everyone.
