VALDOSTA --
FLU SEASON TIPS
Flu season is in full swing. To stave off the body chills and
nausea, review these and other recommendations presented by the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Go to http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/preventing.htm
for a full list of tips about how to avoid the flu this year.
-- People with flu-like symptoms should stay home for at least
24 hours after the fever subsides.
-- High-risk groups should consider talking with their doctor
about antiviral drugs, which help treat the flu. These prescription
pills, liquids and inhaled powders should be used within the first
two days of symptoms.
-- Everyone 6 months of age and older should get vaccinated
against the flu.
Go to http://services.valdosta.edu/health/

Health Center.
