5th Annual Community 5K Fun Run/Walk

VALDOSTA -- Lace up those athletic shoes for the 5th Annual VSU
Community 5K Fun Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21.
Valdosta State University's Campus Recreation and Campus Wellness
Committee, in conjunction with Get Active, are sponsoring the event
designed to encourage community building and to promote healthy
lifestyles.
Registration begins at 6:45 a.m. in front of West Hall on Patterson
Street, where the race will start and finish after circling around
the perimeter of main campus. Farber Health Center staff and EMS
representatives will be on location to ensure participant
safety.
First place finishes will receive prizes, and all participants will
be entered into raffles for a range of items. T-Shirts are included
with the entry fee -- $12 for students and $15 for all others.
Register the morning of the race for $20.

assistant director of fitness, facilities and aquatics at the
Student Recreation Center. Make checks payable to VSU Foundation,
