Cadets Encourage Campus to Support Troops For Christmas

VALDOSTA - Cadets in Air Force ROTC Detachment 172 at Valdosta State University encourage the campus community to support troops stationed overseas through the local Christmas in the Desert campaign.

The charitable program collects items for soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan and transports them overseas during the holidays. ROTC cadets will be accepting donations during the VSU Blazer football game at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, near the main entrance and southwest gate of Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. Items can also be dropped off until Oct. 30 at Odum Library, Nevins Hall, Langdale and Hopper residence halls, the University Center lobby and Barrow Hall on north campus.
