VSU, Sodexho Name Yokeley as Dining Director
VALDOSTA - Sodexho Campus Services and Valdosta State University
named Richard Yokeley as the new director for dining
With 22 years experience in food service and 15 years with Sodexho, Yokeley began his position at VSU on Feb. 18 and he will oversee the operations of all dining services on campus.
“I have spent most of my life in the food service industry; Sodexho provides a great balance and higher education accounts provide many opportunities for me and my family,” said Yokeley.
The new manager has had the opportunity to watch Sodexho grow and expand, holding many positions within the company, from chef manager to general manager. Yokeley said he was interested in the position at VSU because of the strong management team Sodexho placed at the university and because he loves the idea of raising his children in a great community like Valdosta. As director, he plans to be a good communicator, establishing a strong connection between dining and the rest of the VSU community.
A North Carolina native, Yokeley holds a BS in Food Service Management and an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University. He and his wife of eight years have two boys, ages four and one.
