Campus Alert: Students Urged to Use Police Escort Service
At approximately 3 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, a Valdosta State University student was robbed at gun point in the parking lot on Georgia Ave. The suspect was identified as a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The student was not injured. The suspect fled on foot and the VSU Police Department and Valdosta City Police Department immediately searched the area. Students are advised to use extreme caution when returning to their residence halls late at night and use the VSU Police escort service by contacting 229-333-7816.
