Career Services hosts Education Career Day

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University’s office of Career Services and Cooperative Education will host Education Career Day from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the James H. Rainwater Conference Center.

Students can schedule interviews with representatives from participating school systems during the walk-through session from 10 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. Interviews will take place from 11.30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The career day is open to all VSU alumni and current students as well as others holding or seeking teacher certification. Over 70 school systems are registered to attend the event. Professional dress is required and participants should bring several copies of their resumes. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for maximum exposure to all representatives.

“The career day is an excellent opportunity for upcoming graduates to come and meet with school system representatives to discuss teaching and other professional opportunities in education,” Kevin Taylor said.

For more information and a complete updated list of school systems that will be represented at career day, visit Career Services’ website at www.valdosta.edu/career or call (229) 333-5942.
