VSU Announces Convocation; Other Important Dates

VALDOSTA - President Ronald M. Zaccari will give his final convocation on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, officially beginning spring semester.

Valdosta State University will shut down for all non-essential personnel beginning Wednesday, Dec. 19. Administrative offices will reopen after the New Year on Tuesday, Jan. 2; residence halls reopen Thursday, Jan. 3. The beginning of spring semester will be exciting eventful with continuous construction for Hopper Hall and two parking decks. All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to proceed around construction areas with caution.

Administrative offices reopen

Thursday, Jan. 3
10 a.m. Traditional residence halls reopen
5 p.m. - Regular registration begins

Friday, Jan. 4
10 a.m. - Convocation
3 p.m. - TAP Registration begins

Monday, Jan. 7
8 a.m. - Spring semester classes begin
5 p.m. - Regular registration ends

Tuesday, Jan. 8
Late registration and drop/add begin

Friday, Jan. 11
Spring 2008 Fee Payment Deadline
2:30 p.m. - Late registration ends

Monday, Jan. 21
Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday �" no classes; all offices closed
