GBI Director Speaks at VSU Friday

VALDOSTA - Vernon M. Keenan, director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, will speak to a criminal justice class at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20 in room 1171 of Valdosta State University’s University Center.

A Valdosta State alumnus, Keenan has extensive experience in the field of criminal justice and has served as GBI director since January 2003. In addition to his position with the GBI, he is also a member of the Executive Board of Atlanta High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, U.S. Department of Justice Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative Intelligence Working Group, International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police and the Georgia Chapter of FBI National Academy Associates.

Keenan will share his unique wisdom with students in the introductory criminal justice class and others who attend.
