SIFE Wins Regional; Performs Presentation

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) placed first at a regional competition in Atlanta on April 5. This is the 12th straight year that VSU SIFE has achieved this high status. The team will compete for the national championship May 6-9 in Dallas, Texas.

SIFE members will offer a special performance of the 2007 competitive presentation for the VSU Community at 8:30 a.m. Monday, April 16 in Powell Hall Auditorium. The multi-media presentation is 24 minutes long and includes discussion on 18 of the 48 completed projects for the year. Everyone is welcome to attend the free event and coffee, juices and pastries will be available.

Open to all majors, SIFE is an excellent channel for student community involvement with service-learning projects. The VSU team has won 12 consecutive regional championships and three final four nationwide competition finishes in the last five years. The program is well known for excellent programs and presentations internationally.
