Wehling receives Governor's Award in the Humanities

Dr. Susan Wehling, associate professor in Valdosta State University's Modern and Classical Languages Department, will be honored on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the 21st Annual Governor's Awards in the Humanities luncheon in Atlanta.

Wehling will receive an award presented by the Georgia Humanities Council for "humanities heroes" of our state. The award recognizes her exemplary achievements that have fostered an understanding of the cultural traditions and values in the state of Georgia and have strengthened our community, character and citizenship in the state.
