Funeral Service for Dr. Adele Ducharme

Dr. Adele Ducharme, Department Head for Middle Grades and Secondary Education at Valdosta State University, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. There will be a Visitation celebrating the life of Dr. Ducharme on Friday, March 17 from 5-7 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Patterson Street in Valdosta.

The funeral service for Dr. Ducharme will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, also at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. A brief graveside service will be held at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens at 3945 North Valdosta Road immediately following the funeral service.

After the graveside service, food and fellowship will follow in the Fellowship Hall at the Messiah Lutheran Church, located at 500 Baytree Road.

Dr. Ducharme's son and daughter have requested that if floral arrangements are sent they be cut flowers. If there is a preference to send other than flowers, they desire donations to be made to the Department of Middle Grades and Secondary Education Foundation Account at VSU; checks can be sent to Melissa Shuman, the department secretary.
