Blazer Build Homes for Habitat for Humanity

Valdosta State University's Athletic Department and Student Athlete Advisory Committee will work with the Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity to build homes for families in need. The Second Annual Blazer Build will run Friday, January 13 through January 25, with the purpose of building two homes at 806 and 810 Peeples Street.

Weekend work will be in four-hour shifts, from 8 a.m. until noon and from noon until 4 p.m. Volunteers during the week will work two-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Weekend shifts are primarily filled up by Blazer athletes; therefore, volunteers are still desperately needed for all shifts during the work week.

For more information on the Blazer Build, call volunteer coordinator Amy Housemeyer at 333-5890 or alhousem@valdosta.edu.
