First community fair set for Valdosta State

Valdosta State University will host its first Community Fair, Friday, January 27, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the University Center Magnolia Room.

Representatives from a number of organizations - from social services to entertainment - will exhibit the resources they have to offer to the VSU community. The purpose of the event is to highlight the collaboration of resources offered locally for personal and academic utilization.

Representatives from the following local organizations plan to be present: 211 of South Central Georgia, American Red Cross, Archbold Medical Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South GA, Inc., Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County, Inc., Electrolysis & Laser Center, Georgia Department of Labor, Girl Scouts, Greater Valdosta United Way, Hospice of South Georgia, Humane Society of Valdosta, Jacob's Ladder Therapeutic Riding Center, Literacy Volunteer Program, Lowndes County Health Services, Sears, South Georgia Medical Center, South Georgia Regional Library System, T.E.A.C.H., Valdosta Boys & Girls Club Inc., and Wild Adventures Theme Park.
