VSU alumna returns for book signing
As part of National Library Week, April 14-20, Valdosta State
University will host author Betty Oglesby Payne, author of Shine
Annie, at a book signing on April 18, from 1-3 p.m., in the Odum
Library.
While working as a special education teacher in Atlanta, Payne
wrote Shine Annie, a novel set in the 1960s and based on her own
experience growing up in rural Georgia.
Payne graduated from Valdosta State College in 1985, with a
master's degree in Special Education and received a bachelor's
degree in Education from Fort Valley State in 1975.
