About Eric: After graduating from South Gwinnett High School, I decided to major in English at Valdosta State University. My time at VSU was everything I wanted and more! I was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Orientation Team, and Campus Intramurals. With around 12,000 students, Valdosta State is the perfect size for a University. Advantages of smaller schools like small class size, convenient campus layout, and ease of campus involvement are combined with large school advantages like championship athletics, diverse student organizations, and prestigious academics. I would love to further explain why VSU was the best choice for me and why it will be the best choice for you, so please contact me via phone call or email so we can get the conversation started!
Favorite Spot on Campus: Student Recreation Center and Fields. As a former athlete, nothing was more fun at Valdosta State to me than the intramural program that is ran by The Rec Center. Intramural sports at VSU include all the ones you would expect like Flag Football, Basketball, and Softball (plus many more), but has unique experiences like intramural Golf Scramble and Canoe Battleship.
Best Advice for Incoming Students: Get involved on campus as much as you can. Whether it is a student organization, student employment, intramurals, or anything else, being involved will make college fun, exciting, and different everyday!
